Registration
Do I need to register for Open Day?
Yes, you need to register to attend UTS Open Day. Secure your spot!
How can I register for different activities?
Once you have signed up for Open Day, there are no more registrations required. Once you have checked-in, you just show up to your preferred activity on the day.
Note, space will be first come, first serve and might be limited in some of our activities. If there is a specific activity you are keen on attending, make sure you arrive early to grab a spot.
Do I need to pre-register?
We recommend registering before the event. This is so you can receive updates and be the first to know of any new information!
How do I check-in on the day?
When you arrive at the event, our friendly staff will check you in to the event using your unique QR code, which you can find in your ticket confirmation email after registering.
Please bring your ticket confirmation with your QR code on the day either as a print-out or on your phone. If you haven't registered before the event, you can register when you arrive.
Where can I find the Open Day program?
The Open Day program will be available on our website. It will be downloadable .pdf file.
Do all my guests need to register for Open Day?
If you are attending Open Day with family and friends, we do recommend that everyone does register and checks-in on the day.
I can’t make it on-campus. Will there be any online activities?
While there won't be any specific online activities for Open Day, we have a number of online activities available throughout the year where you can get your questions answered and get a taste of life at UTS!
Start a live chat with our staff, book a 1-1 consultation (phone, video and text consultations available) or tour our campus virtually.
Our aim is to provide you with an immersive campus experience. By participating in person, you will have the opportunity to fully immerse yourself in the event, make meaningful connections, and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of our campus.
How do I cancel or modify my ticket?
Upon registering for the event, you will receive a confirmation email with your ticket attached. Simply click "update order" in the email. This will open an internet browser where you can update your order details. To cancel your ticket select the refunds tab.

On the day
What activities will be available on the day?
There's lots to discover at our Open Day, you will be able to speak 1-1 with faculty academics, current students, and our student services teams at our advising hubs. You also will be able to join campus tours, information sessions, and workshops. We’ll also have a number of food outlets available for you to grab something to eat, as well as other activities to help you understand what life is like on campus.
Can I bring a guest/s?
Family and friends are more than welcome to attend. Please note they will also need to register for the event.
How do I find my way around the UTS campus?
Use UTS Map to navigate our city campus and get directions to your next activity.
- Click 'Search' on the left navigation bar
- Search and find your desired activity from the program
- If you are on a desktop or tablet, you can click on 'Send to phone' for a QR code to navigate on your phone
and if you are on a phone, just press 'Take me there'.

What happens if the session, tour or workshop I want to attend is full?
For these activities, they will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. If the session you want to attend is full, some of the sessions will be repeated throughout the day, so feel free to visit an advising hub, grab something to eat, explore the campus, and then attend a later session.
How much time should I leave between activities?
In case one of your activities runs over time, we advise that you do not plan a back-to-back day and leave a buffer of at least 15 minutes between each one.
Which parts of the campus can I see?
The whole of the UTS city campus will be open! There will be advising hubs, info sessions and workshops hosted across our buildings. We will have guided city campus, individual faculty, and housing tours that you can join - or you are welcome to explore the campus unguided.
Does UTS have prayer rooms?
UTS has a visiting chaplaincy team. There are multifaith rooms available for use by UTS religious groups on the City campus. These rooms are located in Building 3, level 5. Please contact Joanna.Thyer@uts.edu.au for any enquiries.
I have accessibility requirements. Who do I contact?
We aim to deliver inclusive and accessible events. If you have any particular access and communication needs please contact the UTS Domestic Recruitment Team, FS.events@uts.edu.au
Please note, we have:
access ramps at all key entries and buildings that are in use for the event
accessible parking for visitors is located in Building 10 (entry via Thomas Street). It is operated by InterPark and is paid parking
infrared assistive listening systems in our lecture theatres
accessible amenities (various locations)
