TechCamp 2022: Countering disinformation

TechCamp Sydney 2022: Countering Information Disorder brought together 40 emerging digital journalists from Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands for a two-day, interactive workshop at UTS to address the growing challenge of disinformation in newsrooms across the region.

TechCamp Sydney aimed to strengthen the capacity of journalists to identify and manage disinformation, develop networks for collaboration across regional newsrooms, strengthen their media ecosystems, and advocate for policies and procedures that affirm the region’s democratic resilience. 

This event was hosted in 3-4 November 2022 by the Centre for Media Transition in partnership with the Bureau of Education and Cultural Affairs (ECA), U.S. Department of State.
