Genevieve’s success has come through talent, hard work, and perseverance — not fairy dust. “This is a tough industry, but it is definitely possible to succeed if you’re determined, keen and interested. You need to be constantly working on projects and you get this work by making connections and sustaining those connections.”
Genevieve graduated with a UTS Bachelor of Arts in Communication (Media Arts and Production) in 2009 and credits much of her work thus far to the MAP Newsletter, an email sent out to all UTS Media Arts and Production students detailing job opportunities and industry developments. Genevieve’s next short film, Frances and Annie, was recently screened as part of the Metro Screen Raw Nerve initiative for emerging filmmakers.
