Love online shopping but hate waiting for delivery?
If COVID-19 has seen you shopping up a storm online, you’re not alone. Shopping remotely is super-convenient but having to stay home and wait for your deliveries? Not so much.
Parcel lockers are now available in UTS Central (Building 2)
The good news is that UTS students and staff – as well as the local community – can now access a free Australia Post parcel locker right here on campus.
Eighty 24/7 lockers of various sizes are now located in UTS Central (Building 2). From the Jones St entry, just take the escalator down to level 2. You’ll spot the bright red lockers tucked away on the right.
Find a parcel locker and use it for deliveries.
Once your parcel arrives at a parcel locker, Australia Post will notify you via SMS and email. You'll then have 48 hours to collect your parcel, not counting weekends or public holidays.
Keep in mind, when you’re collecting your parcel outside of public opening hours, you’ll need a student or staff card to access UTS Central.
If you can't collect your parcel locker within 48 hours, Australia Post will transfer it to a Australia Post facility. You’ll get an SMS and email so you know where and when it will be ready for you to collect. Just make sure you collect it within the next 10 business days so it’s not returned to sender.
