Choosing your SES Major
Sport and Exercise Science students entering year 3 may choose to complete either the Exercise Science major or the No major
Exercise Science major
The Exercise Science major is accredited with Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA) and enables students to become an Accredited Exercise Scientist (AES). The scope of practice for an AES relates to the assessment, design and delivery of exercise. Further details regarding the Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science and ESSA Accreditation can be found on the ESSA Accreditation webpage.
No major
The No major is not accredited with ESSA but enables eligible students to undertake Global Exchange (one semester of study overseas), or simply choose a final year of study with more electives and greater scope within the Internship subject (92551). See further details about global opportunities.
NOTE regarding the Exercise Therapy major
Please note that it is not possible for current students to select the Exercise Therapy major. This major is only available to students who entered the Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science (Exercise Therapy) degree via UAC.
