Recent school leaver
Bachelor of Science/Master of Teaching in Secondary Education
If you're a recent school leaver, you must:
- Meet the required ATAR for the course (Year 12 Adjustment Factors can be applied to this course)
- Submit a personal statement as part of your application.
Bachelor of Communication (Writing and Publishing)/Master of Teaching in Secondary Education
If you're a recent school leaver, you must:
- Meet the required ATAR for the course (Year 12 Adjustment Factors can be applied to this course)
- Submit a personal statement as part of your application.
Note: Students who do not meet these requirements may be able to enter the course via a UTS approved pathway.
Bachelor of Engineering Studies/Master of Teaching in Secondary Education
If you're a recent school leaver, you must:
- Meet the required ATAR for the course (Year 12 Adjustment Factors can be applied to this course)
- Submit a personal statement as part of your application.
Note: Students who do not meet these requirements may be able to enter the course via a UTS approved pathway.
Bachelor of Economics/Master of Teaching in Secondary Education
If you're a recent school leaver, you must:

Bachelor of Business/Master of Teaching in Secondary Education
If you're a recent school leaver, you must:
- Meet the required ATAR for the course (Year 12 Adjustment Factors can be applied to this course)
- Submit a personal statement as part of your application.
Non-recent school leaver
Bachelor of Business/Master of Teaching in Secondary Education
If you are a non-recent Year 12 student (school leaver), the possible pathways include the following:
- a completed TAFE/AQF Diploma or Advanced Diploma
- a completed higher education degree
- an incomplete higher education degree (must have completed one year)
- mature age entry (you must take a STAT test through UAC)
- a limited ATAR (find out more via the UAC website).
You will also need to submit a personal statement as part of your application.
