This collaborative project, in particular, taught me the importance of delegating tasks when designing something new, and how working collaboratively allows for more problems to be identified with something than if you were working in isolation. It's a course that is really practical, as well as theoretically relevant and current for our digitally literate future society. - Scott Johnston
The DSM major provided me with a holistic variation of skills like ideation, user-centric design and group management, which were all brought together in this app project. It was a really great consolidation of these skills, while also being fun and engaging, as we were developing ideas from your classmates. This subject really helped my skills in using rapid prototyping tools and the different type of teamwork involved in digital design - as my other major is mostly working with film, directing and editing, its great to diversify my experiences.
