What is diabetes education and management?
Diabetes Educators and professionals work as part of a multidisciplinary team to assist and care for people living with diabetes, and their families, to educate and provide them with strategies to self-manage their illness and prevent complications.
Why study diabetes?
If you're a health professional, studying diabetes education and management at a postgraduate level will provide you with the knowledge and skills to provide care in the area of diabetes education and management in a variety of settings.
Professionals in certain disciplines are also eligible to apply to gain Credentialled Diabetes Educator (CDE) status authorised by the Australian Diabetes Educators Association [opens an external link].
