PhD student lunch with a financial industry professional

The industry professional for this lunch will be Dr Michael Newman, Founder, Quantitative Asset Management (previously Senior Managing Director at Macquarie Bank).
Michael is a senior investment banker with over 20 years’ experience across all aspects of business origination, development, management and transformation. He has a proven track record of product and technology innovation generating significant revenue and creating operational efficiencies. Whilst he is based in Sydney he has built and managed high performing teams across Australia, Asia, Europe and the U.S.
For the past 2 years he have been working with a small group of like-minded investors, initially consulting and then setting up a trading company to efficiently manage the trading strategies developed.
