About the Speaker
Kerrie was the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Sydney Airport, Australia’s gateway airport which welcomes over 43 million passengers a year, with a network of almost 100 destinations serviced by 45 airlines.
Prior to this role, she was the Chief Executive Officer of Macquarie Airports, and also worked in investment banking at Macquarie Capital, where she rose to the position of Executive Director.
With significant experience in investing in and running major transport infrastructure assets with complex operations and consumer-facing businesses, Kerrie is recognised for her strong vision, excellence in stakeholder engagement and team development.
Kerrie is affiliated with a number of national and international organisations, and has served on the Boards of Sydney Airport, Macquarie Airports, Brussels, Copenhagen, Rome, Bristol and Birmingham Airports. She was the President of the ACI Asia-Pacific Regional Board, Deputy Chair of the Tourism and Transport Forum, and a Board member of the Committee for Sydney.
Kerrie has received numerous awards throughout her career, including the 2017 Outstanding Contribution to the Airport Industry Award, and the Infrastructure Partnerships Australia’s 2016 Women’s Achievement in Infrastructure Award. In 2015, she received CEO Magazine’s Transport & Logistics Executive of the Year, and in 2012 was selected as the Australian Financial Review & Westpac’s 100 Women of Influence.
She is a member of the Australia Institute of Company Directors, the St Vincent’s Health Advisory Board, and is a Trustee of the Sydney Cricket and Sports Ground Trust.
Kerrie holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Commerce from the University of New South Wales, and completed a postgraduate Diploma in Finance and Accounting from UTS.
