Faculty of Engineering and IT Blue Sky Research Grant
The Faculty of Engineering and IT Blue Sky Research Grant seeks to provide Faculty researchers with the opportunity to explore research that is curiosity-driven, inquisitive and dynamic.
We are looking for big bright ideas – these do not have to be research ideas that are already ready for external bodies or industry parties, but should have the potential generate social impact, publish in leading journals, generate IP, create commercialisation or evolve into large scale projects for external funding within the next two years.
We are particularly keen to receive applications which target the Faculty’s existent and emerging research strengths including cyber security, energy and environment, and additive manufacturing.

These do not have to be research ideas that are ready for immediate funding from external grant bodies or industry parties but should have the potential generate social impact, publish in leading journals, create commercialisation opportunities or generate IP while making use of the facilities at Tech Lab.
