About UTS Shopfront
Housed within the Centre for Social Justice & Inclusion, we place UTS students at the heart of the community sector to gain real-world experience and make a meaningful difference.
Since we began in 1996, UTS Shopfront has facilitated more than 1,698 successful projects completed by UTS students as part of their disciplinary coursework for more than 1,199 non-profit organisations. We’ve also overseen an additional 70,000 hours of extra-curricular student volunteering in the community.
How Shopfront projects work
These flowcharts map out the Shopfront process from the perspective of each of our stakeholders: our community organisation clients, UTS students, and the subject coordinators who run Shopfront subjects as part of the courses they teach.
