Master of Science in Forensic Science by coursework
Our Master of Science in Forensic Science is an intensive 18-24 month coursework program designed to expand your knowledge and practice of forensic science alongside developing science laboratory management skills. The degree is practical-focused and is delivered in world class teaching and research facilities modelled on operational laboratories. Students have the flexibility to select subjects across forensic science disciplines depending on their requirements for continuing study or career progression:
- Chemistry
- Biology
- Crime scene investigation
The Master of Science program also provides an opportunity for students to gain independent research experience by undertaking a short project. Students with an excellent academic track record who are considering a PhD can also request to transfer into the Master of Science (Honours) program.

The UTS: Science Super Lab is the first of its kind in Australia. Featuring modern equipment and technology it can accommodate up to 220 students from 12 different classes, with experiments from different disciplines running at once.
