Brandon Lam
Technical Officer, Technical Services Physics and Chemistry (Teaching)
Brandon Lam is a UTS graduate with a B. Forensic Science in Applied Chemistry (Hons) where he was investigating the impurity profiles of methamphetamine analogues. He joined the technical services department at UTS in a faculty wide position before transitioning to the teaching team, supporting a range of Forensic Science subjects. Brandon specialises in Crime Scene Simulation.
Dr. Linda Xiao
Forensic & Analytical Scientific Officer, Technical Services Physics and Chemistry (Research)
Dr. Linda Xiao is the Scientific Officer at the Centre for Forensic Science Research. She specializes in a range of instrumentation analyses, including FT-IR, Raman, Microspec, Fluorescence spectroscopy, Microscopy, LC-MS, and GC-MS, with a focus on forensic science. Dr. Xiao has published over fifty research papers in peer-reviewed journals. Her responsibilities include supporting research and training facilities across forensic science and analytical disciplines. Additionally, she actively collaborates with industry partners specializing in forensic trace evidence analysis.
Alex Mercieca
Technical Services Officer, Technical Services Physics and Chemistry (Teaching)
Alex has been a member of the teaching Technical Services Physics and Chemistry team since 2022. She supports criminalistics and chemical criminalistics subjects.
