Glocalism
Journalism best practice in a digitally connected glocal media landscape
Chrisanthi Giotis is a postdoctorate research fellow at the CMT. Her interdisciplinary postdoctoral research considers what constitutes best practice when reporting global stories that effect local populations.
The two overarching research questions are:
1. What principles constitute journalism best practice at the local-global interface?
2. What role can new, glocal, journalism practices play in (re)building trust in a disaggregated and distributed media landscape?
The program will incorporate a pilot project testing innovative reporting techniques with journalism students and industry. For more information see the Frame Reflection Interview Tool below.
The program will also research examples of coronavirus reporting which use a transnational constructive frame. Watch this space.
