Where To Live
When you first move to Sydney, you may need to start out in temporary accommodation until you find a more permanent place to rent or buy. UTS is very centrally located in Sydney’s CBD and there are many hotels offering various levels of accommodation. Sydney Suburbs guide
Whether renting or buying your first home in Sydney, there is a huge range of accommodation types and price points. UTS is located right in the heart of the city’s CBD (central business district) and is close to excellent transport links to all corners of the city. Central Station, Sydney’s train hub, and Railway Square, the main city bus interchange, are only a few minutes’ walk from the UTS campus. Sydney’s metropolitan area spreads from Palm Beach in the north to the Royal National Park in the south, from Wentworth Falls in the Blue Mountains to the east coast. Sydney’s suburbs are roughly split into Inner City (suburbs that are walking distance to the CBD), the Eastern Suburbs (close to surf beaches and coastal walks), the Inner West (suburbs close to the city and harbour), the North Shore (leafy suburbs close to the harbour and harbour bridge), the Northern beaches (suburbs with a holiday vibe that line the surf beaches north of Manly), the Hills District (leafy outer suburbs in the Sydney’s north west), the Sutherland Shire (leafy and coastal suburbs to the south of Botany Bay) and Western Sydney (suburbs that spread west to the Blue Mountains. Looking for a home
