Repayments and loan extensions
Planning your loan repayment schedule
- You can choose your loan repayment plan in the online Loan Application Form. The following is relevant:
- Repayments may be deferred for up-to 3 months and scheduled over a further 12 month period BUT must be fully repaid before you complete your course
- Loan repayment details are forwarded to the applicant on the Loan Repayment Schedule (LRS) after your application has been accepted by UTS,
- You are required to sign and date the LRS, which is the contract for the loan with UTS. Once received, UTS will transfer the funds to your nominated bank account.
- If you have difficulty in meeting any loan repayment date, you must contact Financial Assistance to request a 'loan extension'
- All loans are legally binding
- Note: Please be wary of scams which offer to pay your tuition fees, bills and loans at a discounted rate
You will not be able to re-enroll unless your repayments are up-to-date, or extensions have been granted.
If you default on your loan repayment dates the University can::
- block your access to your UTS CASS account and UTS email and systems
- withhold your results
- refuse re-enrolment for the next semester
- not allow you to graduate
Please contact us to avoid any of these outcomes. Appointments can be booked through reception on 9514 1177
