Testamurs
All UTS graduates receive a hard copy testamur, which may be collected at a graduation ceremony or mailed out as part of testamur registration. All graduates can also choose to collect your testamur at a later date or have it mailed out from the UTS Student Centre.
Testamurs are available for collection soon after conferral. If you opted out of digital documents, you will also receive your hard copy Academic Transcript and AHEGS in the same sleeve with your testamur.
Returned or uncollected testamurs will be kept by UTS for 12 months from your conferral. After 12 months, you will need to request a replacement testamur.
Collect your testamur in person
You can come in person to the UTS Student Centre during our opening hours to collect your testamur. Please bring a form of photo ID, for example your UTS student card, Australian Drivers Licence, Passport or NSW 18+ card.
If you would like someone else to collect your documents on your behalf, they will need to bring:
a completed UTS document proxy collection form (PDF, 217kB)
original certified copies of your photo ID
Make an appointment:
Have your testamur mailed to your address
You can request to have your testamur mailed out your nominated address. We can mail to addresses in Australia and internationally. An administrative charge is payable for postage.
Domestic mailout within Australia will be send via Australia Post with a tracking number. Someone will need to sign for delivery.
International mailout will be booked using DHL. You will need to supply an international phone number which DHL may use to contact and ensure delivery.
AHEGS and Academic Transcript
If you opted out of digital documents when you completed your degree, your hard copy AHEGS and transcript will be in the same sleeve with your testamur.
If you have purchased additional hard copies of your AHEGS or Transcript, these will usually be mailed out to your nominated address.
If you have made a special request to collect in person and received confirmation that your document is ready to collect from the UTS Student Centre, you can come during our opening hours to collect.
Student Letters
By default, UTS will issue official student letters as soft copy documents.
You may make a special request to collect a hard copy version via Ask UTS. Once you have received confirmation that your document is ready to collect from the UTS Student Centre, you can come during our opening hours to collect it in person.
Authenticating documents for DFAT
If you are providing your original UTS documents to the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) for legalisation (authentication or apostille), you can request to have them stamped and signed by authorised staff when you collect them from the UTS Student Centre. If you’ve already collected your documents, you can bring them to the UTS Student Centre at any time to be stamped and signed.
We can put a stamp on any original and official UTS document to certify that it is an authentic document. This commonly includes testamurs, transcripts, AHEGS and student letters.
If you are unable to come in person, please contact Ask UTS.
