To prevent injuries and illnesses, UTS aims to integrate health and safety risk management into everything it does.
UTS managers and supervisors in control of areas where health and safety hazards exist have a legal responsibility to:
- identify all hazards
- assess the risk of these hazards, and
- take action to eliminate or minimise the risk.
To fulfill this responsibility all managers and supervisors need to understand the risk management principles.
