Scholarship FAQs
What does a scholarship status of ‘Pending Bestowal’ mean in My Student Admin?
Once you accept your offer on My Student Admin, the status changes to Pending Bestowal until UTS Scholarships confirms your eligibility before authorising payments. If UTS Scholarships is able to verify your eligibility, your scholarship status will change to Active and your payment will be authorised for the next pay run.
Why haven’t I received my scholarship payment?
Scholarship payments are not an automated process. Upon accepting your offer, UTS Scholarships needs to confirm your eligibility before authorising payments.
Before contacting UTS Scholarships please ensure you have:
- received a Scholarship Offer
- formally accepted your Scholarship Offer (following the instructions in your Letter of Offer)
- provided your correct bank details. You can check your Bank details on My Student Admin under the Personal Details tab; and
- been admitted to and enrolled in a UTS course.
The majority of scholarships are paid four to six weeks after the census date for both Autumn and Spring. If you are a recipient of the Equal Access Scholarship, you will receive your payment within four weeks of the commencement of the teaching period.
What should I do if I haven't received my scholarship payment?
If you are concerned that there is an error with your payment, please contact UTS Scholarships via email. This may include:
- If it has been more than four weeks since you accepted your offer and you have not received your scholarship payment; or
- You believe your payment is the incorrect amount.
Can my scholarship be paid in advance?
Please note that scholarships cannot be paid in advance. If you are experiencing temporary or ongoing financial hardship, please contact the Financial Assistance Service by calling (02) 9514 1177 or by email to find out what financial assistance may be available to you.
