sensay: turn your hobby into mastery
There’s a new instructor in the digital space, as more of us choose to master skills beyond the classroom.
sensay is an online platform that offers a range of courses – from cooking, to dancing, to mental fitness – that can turn your passion into skill.
A startup, created and owned by UTS, sensay is part of the university’s commitment to a lifetime of learning.
UTS Vice-Chancellor, Professor Andrew Parfitt, says the platform will help staff, students and the local community learn and grow in their areas of interest.
“The way we are learning is changing. In the past two years, as our goals and motivations have transformed, there’s been more people concentrating on honing their passions both within their professional field and in their wider lifestyle interests,” he said.
“sensay’s digital platform and skilled instructors make it easier to find opportunities for people to connect with others in the community with similar interests.”
With a goal of turning passion into skill, sensay is a lifestyle learning platform that complements education and life experience. sensay have partnered with some of Sydney’s leading experience providers in popular areas such as cooking, dancing, DIY and mental fitness.
“We’re proud to be working with UTS to create new opportunities for learners,” said sensay CEO Kerry McCabe.
“The platform helps instructors build a community of learners, unleashing their hidden talent to let anyone become an instructor. All learners have the chance to ‘find their instructor’, enabling them to discover and build relationships with each other and their learning tribe.”
To celebrate the launch, sensay is offering free $50 Gift Cards to the UTS community to help learners get started with their first experience.
