Glen Babington appointed UTS Chief Operating Officer
UTS Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Attila Brungs has announced the appointment of former NSW TAFE Chief Operating Officer (COO), Glen Babington, to the new position of COO at UTS.

Babington joins UTS in October, and will be responsible for a portfolio including finance, marketing/communications, IT, human resources, legal, facilities and program management, as well as the UTS Data Centre of Excellence.

“Glen is a consummate leader and brings with him a wealth of experience gained in large, complex organisations, a set of skills developed and honed throughout his career in leadership positions that range from the Australian Army to TAFE NSW,” Professor Brungs said.
In his role at TAFE NSW, Babington managed a team of more than 2000, $400m in operating expenses, and $150m in capex.
During his time there he established and executed an extensive, complex and successful portfolio of transformation programs, and drove the data effort and people/service centred approach that, amongst other outcomes, saw a significant year-on-year increase in enrolments in 2020.
