The University of Technology Sydney and Macquarie University have appointed a new Managing Director of 2SER.
The University of Technology Sydney (UTS) and Macquarie University are pleased to announce the appointment of Paula Kruger as Managing Director of radio station 2SER (Sydney Educational Broadcasting Ltd).
2SER, a community radio station, is jointly owned by Macquarie University and UTS.
Paula joins 2SER from the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) where she led the ABC's strategy for managing on air talent ensuring an ABC wide approach to identifying, attracting, engaging, developing and retaining talent.
In previous roles at the ABC Paula worked as a Radio Presenter, News Online Network Editor and National Editor for ABC Radio News.
Paula also brings experience in the not-for-profit sector through her previous engagement as Senior Manager of News and Public Affairs at the WWF.
Paula is passionate about ideas and broadcasting in the ever-changing media landscape.
“As both a progressive and independent player in Australian broadcasting, 2SER is well placed to deliver quality content to today’s listeners as well as influence how we educate and entertain tomorrow’s audience,” Paula said.
“I’m excited about being part of the 2SER team. It has already delivered more than 40 years of excellence in broadcasting and I will enjoy nurturing the ideas to continue that success into the future.”
Paula will commence in the role on 22 March and succeeds Cameron Woods who has been Acting Managing Director for the last eight months.
