What documents can I access via My eQuals?
I'm still a current student
If you're a current student, you can purchase a digital Academic transcript at any time during your studies (check our fees and charges). Your transcript will usually be available via My eQuals within a week of purchase.
I'm about to graduate
If you're graduating, you'll receive your graduation documents (Academic transcript, AHEGS and Testamur) at no cost at the end of your degree. Digital documents have been the default for graduating students since 2018.
Prior to graduation, you will receive an email to go to the Course Completion tab in My Student Admin. The Course Completion Tab is only available for a certain duration and the default option for graduation documents is ‘Opt in’ for My eQuals (digital documents), unless you select ‘Opt out’ for My eQuals (hardcopy documents).
‘Opt in’ for My eQuals: you will receive your graduation documents digitally via My eQuals. You will also receive a hard copy Testamur, and can purchase additional hard copy Academic transcripts or AHEGS if you need to. You'll receive an email within a couple of days of your conferral to advise you that the documents are available. You can check for conferral and document availability dates on our Graduation page.
‘Opt out’ for My eQuals: you will receive your Transcript, AHEGS and Testamur in hard copy. Your documents will not be uploaded to My eQuals. You can purchase digital versions of each document if you need to.
Additional hard copy or digital versions incur a cost per document.
I graduated a while ago
If you graduated before 2018, then you would have received hard copy documents at the time that you graduated. You can now purchase digital versions of your Academic transcript, AHEGS and Testamur. (If your original Testamur has been lost or damaged, you will need to purchase a replacement Testamur). Check our fees and charges.
You'll need your UTS password to log in to My eQuals, but your password may have expired. Use our Password Reset before attempting to log in to My eQuals. If you're unable to reset your password, contact UTS IT Support before logging in to My eQuals.
If your award was conferred prior to August 2010: AHEGS were not issued for awards conferred prior to August 2010. Please do not submit an Application for AHEGS if your award was conferred prior to August 2010.
I studied at UTS but didn't graduate
If you studied at UTS but didn't graduate, then you can still purchase an Academic record (transcript) at any time. Check our fees and charges.
Apply for your digital Transcript
You'll need your UTS password to log in to My eQuals, but your password may have expired. Use our Password Reset before attempting to log in to My eQuals. If you're unable to reset your password, contact UTS IT Support before logging in to My eQuals.
If you studied between 2000 to 2010: Please contact UTS IT Support before purchasing digital documents, to confirm whether you are able to access to My eQuals.
If you studied prior to 2000: We are unable to provide you with digital documents via My eQuals. You can purchase a hard copy Transcript.

Troubleshooting
My UTS login/password isn't working.
You'll need your UTS password to log in to My eQuals, but your password may have expired. Use our Password Reset before attempting to log in to My eQuals. If you're unable to reset your password, contact UTS IT Support before logging in to My eQuals.
My documents have been revoked. What does this mean, and does this affect my sharing?
UTS can revoke documents if they are incorrect, or if they are replaced by newer versions. For instance, you may request a Transcript numerous times throughout your studies. Each time a new Transcript is issued with your up-to-date results, the old version is revoked.
If a document is revoked then any shares are also revoked, and third parties will no longer be able to access the documents. This means that you would need to re-share your documents if you shared an old version of your Transcript or any other document. It also means that third parties will only have access to current documents.
My eQuals isn’t displaying correctly.
If you’re using an older version of Internet Explorer, this may be the cause. Try with a different browser.
If I apply for a replacement testamur, will my existing digital testamur be updated?
Yes. Your existing digital testamur will be replaced with the digital replacement testamur. Replacement testamurs are issued in the current testamur style, but will show the original date of graduation and the date of re-issue.
Hard copy documents
Can I still get a printed version of my documents?
Yes. If you received digital versions of your graduation documents, printed versions can be purchased at cost per document.
- For a hard copy Transcript, submit an Application for Academic Record (Transcript) and select 'Printed transcript'.
- For a hard copy AHEGS, submit an Application for Australian Higher Education Statement (AHEGS) and select 'Printed AHEGS'.
- All students will receive a hard copy Testamur. If your original Testamur has been lost, damaged or stolen, you will need to submit an Application for a Certificate of Replacement for a Testamur - Fee applies.
I would like to opt out of My eQuals and receive hard copy documents only
If you don't want your official university documents to be issued digitally when you graduate, you must register your choice to opt out of My eQuals when the Course Completion tab becomes available in My Student Admin.
Please note: If you opt out, all of your digital documents will no longer not be available through My eQuals. You will receive an automatic email notifying you of this. There is no way to receive a digital copy other than through My eQuals.
Once opted out of My eQuals, you cannot opt back in. If you choose to opt out of My eQuals and would like to obtain additional printed copies of your documents following your graduation ceremony, you will be required to pay every time.
I would like to opt back in to My eQuals
If the Course Completion Tab is still available, you use it to opt back in and receive digital documents when your award is conferred. After the Course Completion tab closes and your degree is conferred, you cannot opt back in to receive digital documents.
However, digital versions of your documents can be purchased at cost per document.
- For a digital Transcript, submit an Application for Academic Record (Transcript) and select 'Digital transcript'.
- For a digital AHEGS, submit an Application for Australian Higher Education Statement (AHEGS) and select 'Digital AHEGS'.
- For a digital Testamur, submit an Application for a digital original testamur. (If your original Testamur has been lost, damaged or stolen, you will need to submit an Application for a Certificate of Replacement for a Testamur. - Fee applies).
Share documents securely
How do I share my documents?
You can share your documents online to third parties by using My eQuals to generate a link to the document on the My eQuals site.
By sharing the document as a link, its verification remains intact. You can choose to share documents to certain email addresses and for limited periods of time.
For more information on sharing your official university documents, please refer to our My eQuals User Guide (PDF, 3.4MB) and the information provided on the My eQuals website.
I’m an employer and have received a link to My eQuals – what does this mean and can I trust it?
How to check the security features when viewing the document online:
- You should also check that you are viewing the document through the My eQuals site - the link should start with https://myequals.net.
- The digital documents that you view on the My eQuals platform have been issued by the University of Technology Sydney and are authentic certified copies.
- If the document is revoked by UTS, the link that was shared will show a verification failure once it is clicked by the third party. See example
When viewing a cryptographically signed PDF copy of the document:
- In Adobe Acrobat Reader, certified documents will contain a blue-ribbon above the document, which will say "Certified by Student Records <student.records@uts.edu.au>, University of Technology, certified by GlobalSign GCC R6 AATL CA 2020. Signed and all signatures are valid".
- Documents that have been tampered or modified will not display a blue-ribbon certification statement. There will be no GlobalSign signatures in the document.
Note: While students and graduates have access to view documents, only the issuing university can upload or modify them.

Who can see my documents – are they safe?
My eQuals is a secure and trusted platform. Through their service, your documents are protected from fraud and their integrity as a qualification of UTS is guaranteed. The digital documents are tamper-evident and clearly certified when shared with third parties. Even after your records have been issued, the cryptographic security that My eQuals uses is periodically updated to ensure long-term protection.
Once UTS issues a digital document to you through My eQuals, you are in total control. Only you can see your documents, and you decide with whom, and for what length of time, the documents are shared.
