Back on Track program
There are several components to the Back on Track Program run by HELPS and the Counselling Service of the Student Services.
Online Reflection Exercise
You need to reflect on the factors that contributed to your unsatisfactory academic performance and led to your caution status. You can do this by completing the Reflection exercise, and developing strategies to assist you to learn to better manage yourself.
Once you have completed the Reflection Exercise go and select the Back on track sessions that best suit your identified areas of need.
Before you meet with your Academic Adviser you need to think about what happened to lead you to being placed on Academic Caution. You also need to have given some thought to what you intend to do this semester to get your university studies back on track and improve your results. Use your Record of Academic Advice form to record this information (that was enclosed with your Notice of Academic Caution).
Back on Track Workshops
The Back on Track sessions are made up of a series of 4 separate workshops designed to assist students to improve their academic performance, or to plan how to address issues that may have prevented them from progressing satisfactorily.
