Issues in the workplace

The majority of employers want to do the right thing by students when it comes to internships or work experience, however some students have a less than enjoyable experience; working with businesses or employers who are breaching the law or internship agreement. 

If you or someone you know have concerns about an internship or any work experience you’ve had, UTS wants to know about it. We want to ensure that our students are receiving quality learning and employment experiences, and that our internship hosts and the community are aware of UTS’s values regarding student employment and internships.

Here’s what you can do:

Acknowledgement of Country

UTS acknowledges the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation, the Boorooberongal people of the Dharug Nation, the Bidiagal people and the Gamaygal people, upon whose ancestral lands our university stands. We would also like to pay respect to the Elders both past and present, acknowledging them as the traditional custodians of knowledge for these lands.
