A legal research class focused on defining a research hypothesis, literature and acceptable resources, voice in writing and practical tips.
This session the Faculty of Law is pleased to offer our first Juris Doctor Legal Research Masterclass. This Masterclass will be run by the Associate Dean for Research, Distinguished Professor Shaunnagh Dorsett, a legal historian, who is an international renowned scholar in the field of legal history. Registrations essential.
What we will cover:
- Research Integrity
- How to develop a hypothesis in response to a research questions?
- Finding and defining a new research questions (such as for a research thesis)
- Resources, literature, and what is acceptable and not acceptable to use
- Voice and positionality
- Contribution to a body of knowledge
- Practical tips for research
