Corinne Whelan
Practice Group Manager at LegalVision
Corinne is a Practice Group Leader at LegalVision Australia. She is a commercial lawyer specialising in franchising and intellectual property. She advises franchisors and franchisees on all areas of law that apply to franchising in Australia. Corinne has supported over 100 franchise networks across Australia and New Zealand and recently worked on the Guzman Y Gomez IPO for their ASX listing. In March 2024, Corinne won the Lawyers Weekly 30 Under 30 Award in Intellectual Property.
Emmanuel Georgouras
Senior Associate at Corrs Chambers Westgarth
Emmanuel is a Senior Associate advising clients across the specialised legal practice areas of Banking & Finance and ESG & Responsible Business at Corrs Chambers Westgarth and prides himself as having a passion for pro-bono community initiatives, whilst being an experienced investor, business developer and entrepreneur. He studied a Bachelor of Socio-Legal Studies (majoring in History) at the University of Sydney and then worked for several years in the commercial world as a business developer and consecutively spawned two Australian start-up businesses. Following this, he transitioned into the legal field through the successful completion of a postgraduate Juris Doctor qualification at the University of Technology, Sydney.
Alexandria Semyonov
Associate at Pinsent Masons
Alexandria has been practising law for over three years. Her legal career commenced with undertaking volunteer work at a principal solicitor’s office to then obtaining paid casual paralegal roles throughout university, which later set her up to secure a graduate position at a large national mid-tier firm and working her way up the ladder to now recently moving to an international firm. Alexandria’s practice focuses on acting and advising clients in the construction industry encompassing all aspects of dispute resolution, including advisory, mediation, arbitration and litigation before the Supreme Court of New South Wales. Prior to studying the Juris Doctor, Alexandria studied a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Psychology.
