Blockchain for Cryptocurrency Finance: A technical view with focus on security
Join this webinar where a panel of experts will discuss what blockchain is, its application in the crypto currency trading world, in the wider financial industry context and address the issue of trust
5:00pm, Wednesday 27 SEPTEMBER 2023
Join us for a panel discussion on blockchain which is mostly associated with crypto currency and was once deemed as problematic in its wider applicability as a database to record transactions. Now it is a more common tool that many organisations, in particular in the financial sector, are at least developing and utilising more and more. In fact, the growth in blockchain technologies has been huge in the past 3 years as some of the largest banks and asset exchanges are racing to utilise it as cost effective method of recording and sharing transactions. However, despite being around for some time there is little understanding as to what blockchain is, how it can be utilised, in particular within the current regulatory environment, and the ‘trust’ of the system.
In this panel discussion leading academic and industry experts will shed light on what blockchain is, its application in the crypto currency trading world, in the wider financial industry context and address the issue of trust. Potential business opportunities in the blockchain space will also be discussed.
Feel free to watch the recording of this past event.
