UTS tops nursing and midwifery in Australia
- In the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2019, UTS is first in Australia and 10th in the world for Nursing and Midwifery
- UTS ranks fourth in Australia and 24th in the world for Sports-Related Subjects
For the third year running, UTS has cemented its place as the leading university in Australia for Nursing and Midwifery in the recently announced QS World University Rankings by Subject [opens external site].
In the latest rankings, UTS remains in the top 10 universities in the Nursing subject area [opens external site] globally and has held this place since 2017.
In Sports-Related subjects [opens external site], UTS has moved up to equal 24th in the global rankings, continuing the Faculty of Health’s upward trajectory in this area of study from 33rd position in 2018.
The Faculty’s continued strong performance in these global rankings is driven by academic expertise, healthcare leadership and high impact research, with the QS World University Rankings by Subject combining four components to rank the world’s top universities in 48 subject areas. These are academic reputation, employer reputation, research citations per paper and H-index.
