Why undertake a Higher Degree by Research in Indigenous Health?
Centring Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, holism, human rights, intergenerational knowledge transfer, community-driven research, decolonising methodologies, data sovereignty and governance, models and systems of health care, evaluation methodologies and tools, andragogy, shifting the deficit discourse about Indigenous people to highlight our expertise – if these are of interest to you, join us to undertake your Higher Degree by Research.
These are all current topics of work among Girra Maa Indigenous Health Discipline staff, guiding futures thinking.
We can create teams of Indigenous and non-Indigenous supervisors, from UTS and our communities. We can offer flexibility in research design, timing and location, with scholarships available to accepted applicants.
Feel free to get in touch and have a yarn.
