Building information modelling is becoming a key transformative technology in the construction industry. In this first year project, students develop their skills in simple 3D modelling and a working knowledge of information management throughout the design process. The project involves designing a small poolside bungalow, creating sketch proposals and then modelling the space using 3D object-based models and BIM scheduling functionality to implement the design and prepare documentation for discussion with a builder.
