UTS Animation and Music & Sound Design students win at AEAF
UTS students have won each award within the Student Category of the 2023 Australian Effects and Animation Festival awards, with Gold, Silver and Bronze all being awarded to these budding animators and sound designers.
Students from the Bachelor of Animation Production, the Bachelor of Music and Sound Design, and the UTS Animal Logic Academy received their awards on Friday night.
The AEAF, an international competition and screening and speaker program, is now in its 26th year and boasts entries from around the world. The Awards recognise the work of Animators and VFX artists in a range of areas from feature films, television, commercials, corporate video, and more.
For the Music & Sound Design and Animation Production students, the Silver and Bronze winning works are their first films, a testament to their talent and hard-work.
The films were produced in the Animation subject Animation Studio (54405) and are a collaboration between second-year Animation and third-year Music and Sound Design students. Along with external partner Red Room Poetry, Australia's leading organisation for commissioning, creating, publishing and promoting poetry that reflects the excellence, invention and diversity of Australian voices.
