This course is the end result of a two-semester spatial communication stream. A series of labs, lectures and studios gave the students the tools to execute orthographic, three-dimensional drawings and models.Students represented post-industrial buildings located in Sydney.
The first exercise asked students to analyse and dissect the physical realities of the buildings and to draw relationships between architectural components (such as structure, facade, partitions, linings, systems, pavements and topography).
During the second exercise, moving beyond the mere technical representation, students explored the atmospheric, temporal and subjective spatial characteristics of the buildings. The posters and models were inspired in a selection of historical architectural drawings and models.
