UTS Business School offers a suite of microcredentials and short courses designed to equip you with the skills you need to thrive in your career.

Our suite of microcredentials and short courses are designed with both academic and industry practitioners. Our aim is to give you the opportunity to immediately apply your learnings directly to your immediate workplace context and professional endeavours. We know that it’s not easy to balance a career with a continuing education, our programs are divided into smaller chunks of learning that cater to different levels of commitment and investment. From free short taster courses to day-long introductory courses and bigger and more complex chunks of intensive learning. No matter your circumstances, UTS Business School offers courses that will help you develop the skills and knowledge you need to thrive in your career.

Join our range of free one-hour online livestream workshops designed to give you new skills that you can apply immediately to your work or business. Are you interested to learn what makes people tick, why data is important, or how you can be a sustainability champion? Secure your place now for our October online workshops.

ADAPTABLE SUSTAINABLE ENTERPRISE

Join this online workshop and learn how you can become a sustainability champion for your organisation. Bring value to your company, our environment, our society and the economy.

In this workshop you will:

  • Develop your knowledge of materiality assessment and what it means in a sustainability context
  • Learn how organisations determine their impact on our environment, society and economy
  • Equip you with a framework that supports solid sustainability planning and decision making
  • Enable you to navigate the sustainability landscape as you begin your sustainability journey

Behavioural decision Making

Interested in Psychology and Economics and how you can influence your clients? Then this workshop is for you.

In this workshop you will:

  • Understand how our brains make decisions
  • Recognise biases and heuristics (mental shortcuts)
  • Focus on subconscious brain processing (which accounts for over 99% of our decisions!)
  • Plan with the conscious brain for what people SHOULD do, instead of what they ACTUALLY do
  • Be part of 3 live experiments to detect your own biases and heuristics
  • Learn how to incorporate behavioural economics and science concepts into your business to have a bigger impact

BUSINESS ANALYTICS

In this workshop you will be introduced to the foundational skills you will learn in the microcredential Business Analytics. If you are interested to learn about the importance of data and how you can add value to your organisation then this workshop is for you.

In this workshop you will:

  • Understand how data can be utilised by organisations to drive effective decision-making
  • Consider the different types of analytics
  • Appreciate the importance of narrative, storytelling and visualisation when presenting data
