For instance, the UTS Vice-Chancellor’s International Undergraduate Scholarship is designed to support high-achieving commencing international students enrolling in an undergraduate program at UTS.
  • Financial Assistance Scholarships: These scholarships provide support to students who require financial aid to pursue their studies. They are designed to ensure that financial constraints do not hinder talented students from accessing quality education.

How to Apply for a Scholarship

Applying for a UTS scholarship involves a systematic process:

  1. Check Your Eligibility: Each scholarship has specific criteria. It's essential to review these requirements to determine your eligibility. For example, the UTS Postgraduate International Scholarship automatically considers all commencing international students applying for a Master's degree by coursework program at UTS Business School, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Science, Faculty of Law, TD School, or Faculty of Engineering and IT.
  2. Prepare Your Documents: Commonly required documents include academic transcripts, personal statements, recommendation letters, and proof of English language proficiency. Ensuring these documents are up-to-date and accurately reflect your achievements is crucial.
  3. Submit Your Application: Adhere to application deadlines and ensure all required documents are included. Some scholarships may not require a separate application, as eligible students are automatically considered during the admissions process.
  4. Await Your Outcome: After submission, scholarship applications undergo a thorough review process. Successful applicants are typically notified via email. It's advisable to monitor your email regularly and respond promptly to any correspondence from the university.

UTS is committed to recognising the academic achievements of international students, offering undergraduate and postgraduate scholarships that cover 25%, 50%, and even 100% of tuition fees.

"In my final year, I had the chance to take an internship and I knew one of my subject coordinators was a genetics researcher. I've always found genetics interesting, so I thought I would give it a go. When you're in a real working environment, you just absorb things pretty quickly. After I graduated, my supervisor actually offered me a full time position and I've been doing research ever since."
