“I was very fortunate in year 12 to be chosen for an accounting cadetship with a major investment bank. UTS's timetable was well suited to part-time study and its proximity to the CBD made it an ideal choice for me. It was also important for me that the Accounting and Finance majors were recognised by the respective professional bodies, i.e. the Institute of Chartered Accountants, & CPA for Accounting, and the CFA institute for Finance.
"UTS's commitment to continual improvement has been very apparent during my time here. The refurbishment of Building 5 and the large increase in the number of optional subjects for the Finance major are examples of this. I think as the new Dr Chau Chak Wing building opens in the next couple of years UTS will continue to be an exciting place to study.
"My advice to someone looking to study Business at UTS would be very simply, do it. I originally chose to study at UTS primarily out of convenience but I now know there are many more reasons to study here. The quality of education at UTS is excellent and the practical focus of UTS Business ensures graduates are arguably the most work-ready in Sydney.”
