PNGs New Health Plan
"Leaving no one behind is everyone's business"
In December 2021, Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea, James Marape, launched the country’s new National Health Plan (2021-2030). The theme of this new health plan is that “leaving no one behind is everybody’s business”, with the aim of empowering citizens to take ownership of their health and wellbeing. The NHP was celebrated as a home-grown document, being prepared by PNG officials rather than international experts.
