Optimizing Healthcare Quality: Teamwork in Education, Research and Practice Conference, Chiang Mai
The conference Optimizing Healthcare Quality: Teamwork in Education, Research and Practice took place at Chiang Mai, Thailand from 22nd June to 24th June 2016. The Faculty of Health at the University of Technology, Sydney was delighted to serve as a co-sponsor for this very important conference. UTS also sponsored seven undergraduate students from UTS to attend the conference as a part of the UTS delegation.
John Daly, Dean, University of Technology, Sydney, Faculty of Health, was one of the key speakers for the symposium on “Breakthrough to Excellence: Optimizing Patient Outcomes through Interdisciplinary Research Collaboration”. Michele Rumsey and Jodi Thiessen, WHO CC UTS conducted a workshop on “Leadership: Based on Building Relationships and Capacity”. Jodi Thiessen also presented research “The Consequences of English Language Testing for International Health Professionals and Students: An Australian Case Study"
The objective of this international conference was to discuss quality of healthcare and interdisciplinary teamwork on a global level, as well as providing an opportunity to exchange information and experiences and promote collaboration with various institutes in the fields of education, research and practice. It included lectures and discussions on:
