The UTS Transport Research Centre (UTS TRC) team are Australia’s leading transportation geotechnics researchers in Australia, with a worldwide reputation for fundamental and applied research. Currently, under Professor Indraratna’s leadership, the UTS TRC now has Australia’s leading researchers in the field of rail infrastructure design, ground improvement, transportation data analytics, structural health monitoring of transportation corridors as well as service engineering.
UTS TRC staff have strong track records both internationally and nationally and have led large multi-partner Australian Research Council Grants and industry research projects in the area, as well as contributing to geotechnical standards both nationally and internationally.
UTS world-leading transportation expertise and state of the art advanced engineering facilities located at Tech Lab in Botany (near Sydney airport) enables industry and government to harness this cutting edge research expertise to solve industry and government challenges in transportation and infrastructure management. We also support the technical training of the next generation of PhD qualified transportation professionals.
