Congratulations to Professor Sarath Kodagoda and his team members (Lasitha, Karthick, Vinoth, Antony, Nicolas, Sathira, Simon, Mitchell, Kyle, Benjamin, Amal and Parikshit) for receiving the 2020 AWA NSW Research Innovation Award on 28 February 2020 for working on robotic and sensor suites for concrete sewer condition monitoring. They are moving to national award competition and representing NSW branch.

Sydney Water, in partnership with the University of Technology Sydney, have developed innovative sensing and robotic toolkits that advance capability for assessing the condition of concrete sewerage pipes. The technology provides crucial data, informing timely decisions to save renewal costs and prevent harm to the environment, health and economic activity.
