DFAT Australia Awards Scholarships

UTS alumni green

Australia Awards are prestigious international scholarships managed by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). Australia Awards Scholarships aim to contribute to the long-term development needs of Australia’s partner countries, particularly those located in the Indo-Pacific region. These scholarships help students gain tertiary qualifications that will allow them to drive change and contribute to the development outcomes in their own country.

Australia Awards Scholarships provide opportunities for applicants from Australia's partner countries to undertake full time postgraduate study in Australian tertiary and technical institutions, including the University of Technology Sydney (UTS).

The targeted fields of study under the Australia Awards Scholarships differs from country to country and are determined by the recipient countries human resource and development needs and in accordance with Australia's bilateral aid program.

Australia Awards Scholarships contribute to the long term objectives of partner countries to promote growth and stability. They equip students with the skills and knowledge to drive change and contribute to the economic and social development of their own countries.
