Quokka Launch at the third annual Quantum Australia Conference
World's first quantum consumer product unveiled at this year's Quantum Australia Conference.
On the 22nd of February, at Quantum Australia in Sydney, the Quokka was introduced, ushering in a new era in quantum education and literacy. Eigensystems, a new quantum technology startup from UTS, unveiled the world's first consumer quantum product. The Quokka Puck is a 30-qubit personal quantum computing device, complemented by the Quokka quantum literacy platform. The device aims to democratise quantum education. Featuring three subscription tiers, including free programming options, the Quokka platform redefines STEM education for the 21st century.
Pre-sales for the Quokka begin in May 2024, with an expected retail price of US$350 and shipping in July 2024. Eigensystems also announced partnerships with Diraq Pty Ltd and Pasqal, unveiling the Quokka "Collectable" series and the Quokka "Multiverse" integrating Apple VisionPro and quantum computing technologies.
