UTS researchers among world’s most influential scientists
UTS Distinguished Professor Guoxiu Wang has been named among the top 194 scientists worldwide who have been highly cited in two or more fields over more than a decade.
Professor Wang has earned recognition in both chemistry and materials science for his research into the development of advanced battery technology for portable electronics and electric vehicles, renewable energy storage and conversion.
Published by Clarivate Analytics – an authority on scientific and academic research analytics – the annual Highly Cited Researcher List recognises academics who have consistently published papers that rank in the top one per cent of most-cited in their field.
Professor Wang said he was “even more excited to see former students such as Hao Liu and many friends on this list.”
“It is not only excellent recognition for these leading researchers, but also reflects the hard work and quality research of all staff and students within the centre,” he said
Over 4000 highly cited researchers were named in 21 fields of the sciences and social sciences, with just 4.8 per cent of this elite cohort recognised in more than one field.
