SiteHive use vibration and acoustics labs to test multi-sensor devices
SiteHive secured supported access to the Fully Anechoic Chamber to undertake testing with the Centre for Audio, Acoustics and Vibration, supervised by the National Measurement Institute, in accordance with IEC 61672 Electroacoustics – Sound Level Meters.
SiteHive worked alongside CAAV's research team at UTS Tech Lab to develop a bespoke, automated test campaign integrating industry-standard Brüel & Kjær noise and vibration hardware and software acquisition and analysis solutions into their Python-scripted Jupiter Notebook.
PROJECT DETAILS
SiteHive use vibration and acoustics labs to test multi-sensor devices
Alstom: Long duration, high cycle durability test in bespoke modular chamber
The project will run a durability/fatigue test for Alstom, in collaboration with first-tier rail supplier Worthington Rail.
CAAV's research team, based at UTS Tech Lab, will investigate and validate the design, assembly and lifetime durability of a commuter rail carbody floor panel assembly through a series of structural tests.
