Please use the below 'Apply Now' to access and complete your application form.  The application needs to be completed in one sitting. This means you cannot save your progress and return at a later stage.

  • Before completing your application, you must contact the relevant UTS faculty (or equivalent) and enquire about current research priorities to ensure there is support for your application.
  • Approaching your future UTS sponsor as early as possible is also recommended. Potential sponsors and co-sponsors must refer to the CRF and CIRF UTS Sponsor Guide before sponsoring any candidates.
  • During the seven weeks of the EOI phase of the scheme, you need to have detailed discussions regarding your interest and potential as a fellow including any allowable career interruption (if applicable) with the faculty and UTS Sponsor(s).
  • Only applications supported by the faculty and UTS Sponsor(s) will be accepted.
  • Only the full application will require a letter of support from your Sponsor. The letter template will be provided to your sponsor if you are invited to complete a full application.
  • The scheme involves a three-stage application process: EOI, full application and Interview
  • Only one application per individual will be accepted. You can nominate a second sponsor (the Co-Sponsor), however they must be from a different faculty or institute.
