Researchers in the Histories of Knowledge and Education node examine questions including:
- How have institutions shaped knowledge practices in the past, and how do they do so today?
- What roles have educational institutions played in nation-building?
- How can we best understand relationships between formal academic knowledge and other types of experiential or informal knowledge?
- How have questions of social justice been served or failed by past and present education systems?
- What types of institutions and knowledges will best serve us to address current and future questions of climate, nationhood, Indigeneity, global capitalism, and changing patterns of work?
