UTS International is the executive unit of the university that oversees international matters. The office is located within the division of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President (International).
UTS International is structured around three areas:
- Global Engagement and Mobility
- International Business Development and Transnational Education
- International Compliance, Insights and Relations
Global Engagement
- Global Partnerships: identify and develop institutional level partnerships with universities and other organisations overseas.
- BUILD Program: provide activities on and off campus, through which students can engage in concepts, learning and discussions related to global leadership, sustainability, and intercultural competencies.
- Global Mobility Programs: provide opportunities for UTS students to undertake a short period or a semester of study overseas, with a partner institution or third-party provider.
- UTS Global Pty Ltd is a wholly-owned Australian subsidiary of UTS which has been established to provide a robust governance structure to manage the University's offshore companies. UTS offshore companies currently include a representative office in Beijing (UTS Beijing) and a commercial research institute in Shenzhen (UTS Shenzhen). UTS Global may establish entities in other locations as the University seeks to develop its global engagement opportunities.

Business Development and Transnational Education
- International Business Development: undertake strategic and operational support in the discovery, design and development of all new offshore delivery opportunities. This includes risk assessment and due diligence, market analysis and pricing, and advice on legal and regulatory environments for all award/non-award short forms of learning and executive training to offshore partners and markets.
- Transnational Education (TNE): lead the discovery and development of TNE opportunities while managing existing TNE programs. The team is responsible for TNE procedures and protocols for TNE governance and reporting.

International Compliance, Insights and Relations
- Management of the overall governance and policy infrastructure that supports:
- an international network of student recruitment agents
- international partnerships, MOUs and agreements
- international study tours and visits.
- Managing the global marketing and communications for UTS across all international audiences
- Compiling and reporting on international student data and insights
- Benchmarking data and reporting requirements for various external organisations, ESOS and regulatory compliance (National Code, Sanctions, Simplified Student Visa Framework (SSVF))
- Compliance risk management and audits
- Development of policy and support systems, and procedures for international recruitment and services, including training programs
