Are you interested in mentoring a student but short on time? Our flash mentoring program gives you the flexibility to offer up your expertise and guidance on an informal, short-term basis.
Professional Mentoring Program
UTS alumni, staff and industry partners are invited to participate in our new online flash mentorship service, the Professional Mentoring Program.
Designed to facilitate student-industry relations, the program provides mentors the opportunity to give back and expand their leadership skills by volunteering as a flash mentor.
You can volunteer on your terms, in a way that fits within your schedule.
Flash mentorship is an informal, low-pressure connection.
Who is eligible to be a mentor?
All UTS alumni, industry partners and UTS Staff.
How does it work?
Mentees request flash mentorship to ask questions or seek advice. This could include but is not limited to:
- Best practice within an organisation or a specific professional role
- An outsider perspective on a particular topic or issue
- Providing advice on interview preparation and performance
- Provide insights and guidance on your area of industry expertise
- Share local knowledge for students considering a move overseas
As a mentor, you can choose how you would like to communicate with your mentee. That might be online, via phone, video chat or in person. The program gives you the flexibility to have just one conversation, or pursue the connection further.
Places are limited so sign up here to start mentoring today!
