2021 was a year marked by change and uncertainty. Amid the challenges of the pandemic, we adapted to new ways of learning, teaching, working and living. More than ever, we relied on kindness and generosity. Through undoubtedly hard times, I am incredibly proud of the compassion and resilience our UTS community continues to show.
With sincere thanks
Even though it was a difficult year, for UTS it was also a year of great success and achievement. We were guided by our UTS 2027 strategy and continued to provide high-quality – albeit differently delivered – education to our students, progressed important research initiatives, and delivered positive and inclusive social change through our partnerships.
This report captures some of that success, which we couldn’t have achieved without the enormous support from our donor community. You’ll read stories that show how we’re driving advances in human rights, future industries, student access, sustainability and communities.
As the new Vice-Chancellor, I’d like to acknowledge every single gift we received in 2021. To our domestic and international partners, private individuals as well as corporates, trusts and foundations – thank you for your gifts both large and small.
Your generosity and vision help us to drive innovation and find solutions that will improve lives, advance knowledge and transform society.
As we move through 2022, we are encouraged by the increasing campus and community engagement and the energy and enthusiasm that brings.
Looking to the future, the post-pandemic world needs to be led by the most informed and meaningful knowledge we can offer, led by graduates who understand the power of education and our collaborative partnerships, as we work together to create a positive, viable future.
Thank you for choosing to be a part of our growing community of supporters. We are grateful for your contributions and generosity.
